Question Exhaust size

im curious im going to be putting on a custom cat back exhaust system. whats the exit side of the cats pipe size? what is it before the cat? i also plan on a high flow cat i just need to know the specs so i can buy the right parts thanks

stock is 2" into the 1st cat then 3" and 3 in/out of the 2nd cat.

um.. you sure about that?

I didn't think there was any 3" pipe on there

positive, i needed a pipe to downsize it to 2.5" when i got my exhaust on.

best advise is to emaure it may differ a bit at the dealer where I work I just installed a cat-back exhaust at 2 1/4 stock so thats worth just getting under and measureing it out it was a 93 F-150 with a 300 in it

im almost positive its 2" from the manifold to 1st cant then 3" into the 2nd and the opening at the 2nd is 3" then it runs into 2 1/4" to the tail pipe which some were flared to 2.5".

I think it's 3" into the second cat, and 2 1/2" out.

stock is 2.25" on a 300 and my exhuast guy said i would need a piece to make it down to 2.5"....dunno maybe ill go measure my dads and see...

On my truck it was 2" into the first cat, then a piece of mangled looking POS 3" pipe to the second cat. The exit of the second cat was 2.5" for about 3/4", then necked down to 2.25". Now it's got headers and 3" all the way out.

i think mine was replaced but there was no 2.5" at all...maybe for a 1/4" if that after the 2nd cat....why cant ford just make it all the same size
