1966 Ford Steering Box Problem
Hi -
I have a 1966 Ford F100 pick-up with 92,000 original miles. The steering box quickly became tight and hard to steer. Now the steering wheel turns almost a complete 360 degrees (easily) before the wheels turn with much effort. Obviously somthing is broken and I've stopped driving the '66. Are steering boxes a common problem with these old trucks? Are replacement steering boxes available? Any suggestions?

Manual or power?
Steering boxes are available at parts houses for the manual and if original PS it will be a bendix, much harder to locate but there out there.
Are you sure it is the box? the rag joint may have let loose and is hanging by a thread .
