Installing an old tach?

I inherited my 93 f150 from my grandpa cause he was getting too old to drive, along with the truck came a mile long list of problems just to get it out of the garage he kept it in. long story short, he left a mini super sun tach taped to the dash and a column that was never installed and i would like to install it, or atleast get it running. i don't know wiring too well so i can't recognize the wires under the dash and i don't want to guess and ruin the truck, it's my daily driver.
can anyone point me in the right direction for a website or just a discription of the wires i should and shouldn't splice into?

I would go to the sun website & see , wire to power & ground , one wire to neg side of coil & one to the dash lights......Lew

Yhea, it should be pretty easy. My 90 had a little autogage 2.5" tach that worked really well.

Attach it to the coil and ground to get it to work, the hardest part will be tapping into a switched light source for the lamp.
