GAWR?

Hey folks, any ideas what my GAWR's would be for this beast? I noticed there's an extra set of leaf springs on the rear axle that only take load if the rear sinks low enough and the seller said the front end was "converted to a BUD front end" -which means nothing to me, how about you guys?

Just wondering what kind of load it can handle. Frame is a F250 if that helps any.

......Not much. If it's the stock "Highboy" axles, 5300 rear - 3500 front. If a Dana 70 rear axle has been swapped in, those can handle about 7500.

you might also want to check your tires that sometimes is even less then your axles. It is printed on the sidewall max load single and dual.

Yeah, didn't occur to me until after I'd left for work that you guys can't tell me much without knowing the axle types. Will have to crawl under there this weekend to see.

Also, the ratings I gave you were the Ford maximum. The manufacturer rated them a few pounds heavier. This is also assuming you have an open knuckle Dana 44 front. A closed knuckle may be rated slightly less.

Open knuckle = you can see the universal joints in the steering knuckle

Closed knuckle = you can't.
