let me know what you know from experience...
When I swapped mine, I changed the driveshafts due to the difference in length of the 203 case. The 205 is smaller, and the yokes were different.
Once you figure out the bolts for the brackets and the crossmember, you will have to change up the shifter a little bit. Your current shifter has two levers attached to a mechanism that selects the range box and output section.
Whatever, you need to remove these and modify one rod to activate the plate that connects to the two shift rails on the 205.
If this shifter is a conversion shifter from a part time conversion, then you may have to undo the locking mechanism and create a simple pivot.
After all the factory 205 shift lever is nothing more than a simple lever with a pivot.
Well, you gonna need to get a 205 shifter.......and modify the driveshafts.
I dont think his automatic trans has any provision to mount the large pivot bolt.
I'm pretty sure that this tailshaft only has the threaded boss for the 203 shifter.
Dang, I cant remember if they have both or not.
If it does, then a stock shift lever is all it requires.
FWIW: this is a great time to twin stick the thing.
Yeah....I've never fooled with the divorced setup.....so I had no idea how it mounted. I just knew his 203 shifter wasn't exactly gonna bolt up.
Keep in mind this is the same guy who said: "a stock 6 inch lift on a f250 highboys right...highboys production ended in 76 right..everything down is lowboy"

......I thought it best to keep things simple.
my sources proofed wrong nuff said
keep in mind there's no need for people like you...
Well.....whether you were right or wrong is irrelevant. However, another member said you were wrong.....and you responded by "misspelling" his name and throwing a fit. That sort of thing is not tollerated well around here.
Poor guy has taken a beating over that, its been going on all day. Ive been bored, and having to do some programming work using my puter so Ive been hangin around and keeping an open window, and have seen some nonsense today.
Most are in a bashing type attitude, and not quite having the manners that we have been known for on this site.
No biggie, but I do have a serious question for shane:
Interested in selling the range box out of that 203 set up?
Are you closer to San Joaquin or Sacramento? I think I remember Sacramento.
Either way, do you need some parts for this swap? maybe we can work something out.

Buying your old 203 range box. I may have some parts that you need.
Matter of fact, I have everything that you need. Complete transfer cases, bushings, shifters, twin stick upgrades, skid plate for transfer case.
All of it I have, but you may already have what you need.
You might be a little too far away to ship heavy stuff like this, but Im interested in just the "range box" not the entire case.
The range box is just the little section that bolts to the front of the case itself.

what's your 20, the only thing i have is the 205 Tcase
Merced is about 300 miles away. Thats a bunch of distance. I suppose shipping the range box itself is not that bad.
Pm me, and we can discuss price, as well as anything you might need.
