Burning, using oil.
2000 f-450 7.3 lt dsl. Using my truck daily is a bucket truck and hydraullic pumps runs off engine. Engine runs most all day long. When i move from location to location i am noticing small amount of blue smoke when 1st taking off, then it quits within seconds. It is using oil from being run all the time, not enough to notice, just enough to notice puffs of blue smoke when moving truck.
This would be valves wearing out? What can i do to prevent future problems with this? Oil, fuel additves, etc...????
