Axle interchange question

I am trying to find out physical interchange on the Ford 10.25" axle. I have a 1986 F350 DRW pickup with a bad bearing tube on the left side. Other than the obvious difference when RWAL was introduced, what years will fit. Second question, other than the actuall differential internals what is the difference if any between a traction-loc 10.25 and an open 10.25? I already know the SRW housing is shorter than the DRW, I have one from a 90 F250. Thanks,

Measure the leaf perches, it should fit. I doubt they changed much, maybe the length of the driveshaft yoke, but, I doubt it. That old truck won't worry about the abs. Rich
