89' to 94' Compadibility/interchangability questions.

Hey guys, I've got a few questions for ya concerning what would work in my 89' F-250.

1st. The 10.25 sterling in my 89'. the LSD is toast, killed it in the winter. I'm looking into a TruTrac LSD, but I don't want to get it for the 89'. My idea is this: Take the 10.25 DRW out of my 77' (which has a 94' sterling 10.25 DRW in it) and toss it under my 89' for now. they both have the same diamensions when it comes to bolting it up, and I know the rear tires may be kicked out a bit more, but that's ok, SRW rims on a DRW axle wont be a concern.... Right?

2nd. My passenger side power lock doesn't work at all (supercab), either with pushing the drivers or passengers side button. I think its the actuator itself. The passengers side window is also a problem. It works when you use the pass. side button (working meaning it goes down), but it wont go up at all. And it doesn't go down at all when using the drivers side button. It use to work, but then it started to "bounce" when you tried to go up. Almost as though the internal gears would catch, then slip.

Can I use a PW/PL actuator from a 92'-96' Ford F-series or Bronco? I know I need the 87-91 buttons, but I need to know if I can use a newer power window/power lock actuator. Can anyone help? This summers going to be VERY hot and I don't have A/C.

Is worn out LS clutch disks the only thing wrong with the '89 axle? If so they aren't hard or expensive to replace.

Your power window problem is also a dirt cheap fix, there are 3 composite rollers in the gearbox that disintegrate and cause it to slip, you will find replacement parts and how to videos on the web.

And I think you are right about the power door lock sounds like the actuator is dead. It's a bit ugly to get in and out but the same part was used for about 50 years in Ford cars and trucks so you should not have much trouble finding a replacement. Yes the bronco used the same part.
