So here's the story:
My Grandpa bought the truck in 1979. I remember my dad telling me that his 2wd truck got stuck in the driveway in snow so he went out and bought the biggest baddest truck out there so it wouldn't happen again. So over the years condition deteriated (sp?), aka wasp nest in the second gas tank, etc. So my dad restores the truck in 2001 with a new bed and painted frame and new paint job. I want to know if anybody knows exactly what I have here.
I think the truck is a 1979 f350 lariat. On the chrome thing on the side it says f350 ranger so is it both or is ranger a trim package? It is a lariat with the chrome piping on the sides and lariat decals inside the cab. Looks exactly like this truck http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3299497 minus the bumper and slightly different mirrors.
And i believe the engine is a 400 since the truck is 4x4. I would get the VIN but the truck is in storage right now and won't be out for a while. I guess the only way anyone can help is if you know about this specific truck but any help is appreciated, thanks.
