'97 EVAP system
I have a '97 Expedition that is running terrible. The code is P0443 EVAP VMV circut fault. Has anyone else had this problem? I checked the charcoal canister and didn't find any cracks in it. I saw someone else on this site fixed their rough engine by replacing the fuel cap. My next step will probably be the Vapor management valve. Can anyone help?

It does idle rough. But I notice it the most when I'm accelerating. If you keep it at a steady speed,it's not as bad,but when you give it gas the check engine light starts flashing. This is most likely from the #4 coil,the code for #4 missfire also showed up in the scan. I was told by a mechanic that when the light flashes it is a dead miss. But I don't think this would affect the EVAP system. It has stalled several times,usually it's when you take off after sitting in drive with your foot on the break for a while. I never had that problem when it was missing on another cylinder.
