need inf. on installing air bags on rear of duely.
i tow a 5ver with a 3400 lb. pin wght. and the truck sits low when hooked up and sometimes it bottoms out. i would like to lift the truck back to level pos. approx. 2".
any sug. will be helpful.
thanks.
i was looking for how to install, any problems that i could expect. what to order.
i'm thinking of ride rite 2400.
i have a fifth wheel hitch in bed and a hitch brace on the side of the frame that may become a problem.
just trying to install the air bags with the least amount of time wasted. this will be my first time installing air bags.
thanks.
Do a little looking. There are severzl current threads about airbags and installs. If you have a hitch just make sure that you order the kits that says it is for trucks with a hitch. I looked at them last week and remember Firestone listing 2 kits. I had them on my F150 and had no issues with them.

I've had the AirLift wireless system on my 2010 F250 for exactly one week. My F250 pulls a 9k pound concession trailer. I'm just back from the Florida International Air Show where the Airlift system showed itself very well. It just flat out works for keeping the truck level. You simply set it and forget it until you hear it working. I didn't install it. A local truck aftermarket company installed it for free if I would concent to photographs as well as being a rolling advertisement for them. I thought why not and so far so good!
Ride Rite 2400 is an easy install on that truck. Just did mine. 3 hours total time and I'm a bit slow. Car Accessories - Car Performance Auto Parts - StreetSideAuto had the best price when I bought mine. I used Bing to search them and got an extra 10% off. I think I paid $264 and got another $27 off.
I have the Firestone Ride-Right in my truck and love them.
My truck has a daily weight of 12,000 lbs.
A few weeks ago I also put in 3,500 lbs of tile and supplies ( 15,500 lbs total ) and my truck hardly sagged.
