so this morning i went over to my dads garage to work on the car i picked up (1991 toyota celica gt with what i thought was valvetrain tick, from timing belt slipping, turned out to be piston slap, so it threw a bearing and ****ed the motor bassically, picked the car up for 150 bucks so just need a junk yard motor) but anyways... left the parents place, driving my 79 jacked up 4x4 since my short box is ****ed now... get a block away, stop at the stop sign, and give it some gas cause its fun! half way through the intersection BANG... coast to the other side and pull over... here im thinking ok i ****ed up the rear end again. put it in 4x4 and nope no movement. now im thinking transmition, throw it in reverse and nothing still?? throw it in park and GRRIIINNDD!! so i shut off the truck and put it in park. so now im thinking transfer case is ****ed?? man what else can go wrong now?! so i'm gonna be on the look out for a CHEAP beater truck cause i need something till i get this celica going, which wont be for a while im thinking now....
Damn buddy, you are having some really poor luck right now!
For what its worth I actually have an extra 4 speed and transfer case thats for my 78 bronco, but it bolts up to a 351m, and I have no idea what kinda motor you have in your 79.
No automatics for a old 4 wheel drive though, but if you need an AOD with a transfer case with fairly low kms on it, lemme know!
really? you have a 4 speed manual and transfer case for a 351m??? my truck has the 400 in it, which is the same block as the 351m... so how much you want for it?!
That really sucks man, I hope I don`t run into a string of problems like this.
