I swapped out my amber front markers for the 02 clear ones, but i can't decide whick look better.
Which ones do you think I should keep on the truck?

 

I like the clear. Makes the truck look newer. But you have to be satisfied the final decision.

I recently swapped MY '99s headlights and corner/marker lights to the '02-'04 ones.
I like the look this way and it DOES make the truck look newer!-I also bought an '05-'07 modified grille from a member here and that really helps with the look.
Looks like your present headlights need cleaning a bit by the picture.....may be that would do ya for a while?

 

Leave the amber ones. You see them when they are off.

 

Prefer the amber myself, to me all that clear is to much.

I liked the newer ones. Three years ago I did the same thing the O/P just did. I used clear bulbs, too, so I have an "old" look when the directional signals are on. White blinkers may even be MORE noticeable today, as you see so few that way any more.

When I bought my truck it had clear corner/markers. Luckily he kept the original amber lenses; I put them back on and threw the clears in the trash. In hindsight I should have offered them up to someone on here. But I don't like the clear lenses. Although if/when I do the 05 grill I'm going to do the 05 headlights too though.

 

Thanks for every ones suggestions. I think I'll stick with the clear for now. I put the amber ones on my old truck.

 

i have the clear markers with the clear corners... so its all clear, but with orange bulbs. i like the looks.
had i known 05s fit on our trucks i would have gone in that direction.

i recommend clear headlights for your truck!

 

Are they aftermarket or the ones that got recalled?
I'll prob do the 05 headlights and grill. I love that look.
The clear markers really make my HL look yellow.

 

i have the amber ones but have looked into the clear fender markers on my white dually. i also have the clear roof lights with amber bulbs, i think they look 100% better that way with my led tail lights on there and the upgraded grill

I agree. the clear would look good on your truck. Thats a good looking ride you have.

 

Dont quote me, but im pretty sure there was a recall on the 02's when ford first went with the clear markers. They didn't have the amber corner relector. (guess its a law)
I'll have to google it. I heard it years ago.
