smaller diameter air cleaner
does anyone know of a smaller diameter air cleaner (any application that is readily available) that will fit on an edelbrock carb? Im using a factory air cleaner housing on a 460 in a 75 f-150 4x4 and the back of it hits the pinch weld on the firewall. Chevy air cleaners require a spacer to clear the choke components so i dont want to go that route. I do want to run a fully enclosed housing. a taller filter would not be a problem, just need smaller diameter.

that is an open element. i am looking for a fully enclosed factory air cleaner with a snout. it is on a mud truck.

Thank you Pat. Does anybody know of any other options? Any application will work. I really dont want to run an adapter or i would just use a Chevy pickup air cleaner. They are really easy to find.

i thought about that but i have seen them backfire and light up the whole inside of the cab with a fireball. Id rather try to leave the fire under the hood and just have it pull air from inside the cab. i was going to fab up a snorkle to go through the firewall.
