Going on a Staycation

Well I took this week off of work. Going straight to the farm tommorrow morning and staying there hopefuly for the week.

Gonna be working on my John Deere A, 54 Meteor, and 1949 Mercury. Also be bringing my 1957 Plymouth home.

Sounds like you`ll be busy, hope the weather improves.
Drop by and hear my 56 run.......yes, it`s actually runs now thou there`s a small oil leak somewhere near the oil pump..

I got the motor and tranny already to pull out of the 52 this afternoon and got my bike all tuned up for the year.

lol compared to you, yes I do.... seriously you got a sweet job, I'm so jealous

And ya over the last couple weeks it was getting harsh I could tell I was to my limits

Either way guess I'm off, I still got my Blackberry so I'll kinda keep a eye open but most likely, TTYL next week!

I had to make a homemade piston ring compressor mine doesn't go up to 5.25inches......


AND just for Preppy got to tow my 57 Plymouth home finally

Very very cool car, I love those fins on the back!

They dont make cars like that anymore!

And the John Deere, its looking awesome.

Theres just something about those old JD's that no other tractor has been able to replicate, they are awesome!

He has pics on here when he was working on it a few years ago. I think it is red and black. I believe he had plans to put a 255 flattie in it. He may have some pics in his gallery.

Yep Corner Gas got it right, but I lucked out and the P/O did a 255 crank swap. Before dying in 1968 I had pics on here before its all shiney now, I love that ol'girl. I'm at the farm now on my Blackberry but once I find a real computer Ill post a pic here.

Update on the Johnny just adjusting valves right now, just put in radiator and mounted seat. Not sure what it has for compession but it feels decent which I'm relieved. The valves from the John Deere are so big they don't fit in my valve grinding machine so through trial and error I farmer rigged my lathe and Die Grinder together HAHA, but I guess by the grace of god it worked.....
