there was one on the lot in my town for half a day last week. a blue one. the guy that bought it drives it all the time. i see it all the time. once even muddy!
Yup, I saw two molten orange Raptors at a nearby dealership... one with 6.2L but not sure about other one (5.4L or 6.2L). It was just how I drool over when I had to drop my Mustang off for a mirror fix there. What a great looking Raptor!
Saw a new one last weekend at the Ford Store, had the salesman start it up for me. Sounds pretty good, way throatier than any 5.4 I've heard with stock exhaust, and overall just looks MEAN! No test drives allowed, seems like every guy in town was coming down to test drive it, all day every day. No more test drives unless you could prove you were very serious.
I actually drove one with the 6.2 ... city, highway and gravel roads. The sales manager was with me. (His demo.) He told me to "get on it" so I did. Yahoo! Might be time to switch back to Ford from my Ram Hemi.
The only problems I've had with mine in 2 months is both rear shock guards broken by rock strikes. If you want to stick with a Dodge, check out their Ram Runner.
I went by one of our big Ford dealers in KC, they had a blue one with the 6.2 and no graphics (thank god). We talked for a bit, my fiance flirted a little and we were on a test drive! lol, all I can say is WOW. Only truck I ever drove where with the diff locked, you could put it to the wood from a stop and roast 35's! Soon as the supercrew comes out Ill be buying one. Im way ready to retire my 02!
I just test drove a new blue Raptor 6.2 with no graphics. When driving you feel like your sitting way higher then it looks from the outside. The 6.2 is really smooth,I thought it was a little weak on low end power considering its supposed to be 411hp. I put it to a dead stop and nailed it and it didn't even chirp the tires, once the RPMs started building it pulled pretty hard though. I am guessing it is setup that way for emissions and economy, hopefully a programer will uncork that motor.
