I personally like my 7.3 better when pulling. I feel it will out pull my 6.0, but the 6.0 drivtrain is more everyday user friendly. I did not see any signicant improvement in ride from my 01 f250 to my 06 f350 if anything I think the 06 rides worse. My 96 rides better than the 06 forsure. the truck is anice truck if you dont mind putting up with the trouble/quirks th 6.0 will give ya I ave almost 100000 on mine and it did not start to give me toruble until 80000.

I would compare it to big block small block. Dont get me wrong the 6.0 is a good motor just I happen to like my 7.3 a little better, and maybe that I have just never had any troubl with the 7.3's I have had. As for the torqueshift I ahve never been impressed with the towhaul on it I usually find my truck tows better with it turned off. he turning radius f the 05 and up suspension is a huge improvement over the older trucks, i think my o6 crew turns tighter than my 96 reg cab does.

7.3 vs 6.0
I trusted the 7.3 to crank and go reguardless the 6.0 I'm not so comfortable because of all the little problem. My 05 f350 srw rides soooooooooooooooooo much better than my 2000 f250 that it's hard to think they are the same truck. I had one problem with the 2000
caused my crappy fuel fungus blocking the pickup. I'm going to claim the 6.0 on my taxes.
