Shock Question
I have a 99 F350 that used to live life with a very heavy steel roof rack carrying heavy equipment. Now, the roof rack is gone and I only use the truck to pull an enclosed 28' trailer to the track. It is set up with dual shocks on the front and I need to replace them. Are the dual shocks necessary in the front? If I can save the money and not have an adverse effect, I'm all for it.
It is a SRW truck with adapters on front and back for DRW (not sure if that is a factor).

Mine has sway bars front and rear. As far as shocks go I dont see why you couldnt get away with one shock per corner. My dually only has one per corner. I have the Pro-comp MX-6 shocks on mine and they are junk stay away from them even being adjustable they are terrible. I will be going with bilsteins next time guys on here seem to have good luck with those. More then likely they had the two extra shocks on the front because of the heavy steel rack they had on the top. That is my .02
