Ryan,

I finally put in some new swaybar links too. I ordered the links, removed my old ones (actually removed the whole bar to pound out my old links (yeah, I have the links that are pre 11/29/04 which have a tapered seat similar to a ball joint stud from the link to the bar so they were froze pretty good)), went to put in my new ones only to find I had ones for a 2x4 which were 3" too short.

So I just left my swaybar off while I ordered the correct ones, and also ordered some poly bushings from energy suspension. Put everything together today and man that makes a huge difference.

I would recommend doing the poly bushings. They are way harder than the rubber ones, way less flex.

Question 2005 Ford f150 clunking/rattle

I have a 2005 f150 and have a pretty rough sounding clunk/rattle and I can't seem to figure out what it is. It's usually at low speeds on bumpy roads. If it's an extremely bumpy road my truck goes all over the road like it's floating but hard to control it bc it's bouncing, clunking and shaking all over the place. I've replaced sway bar links and bushings, upper control arm, tie rods, upper and lower ball joints, full strut coil assembly on both sides and it hasn't fixed it at all. Even on pretty smooth roads i can hear it clunking on the small bumps on the road that you probably shldnt even feel let alone hear. At average/high speeds it seems to take the bumps a little smoother unless i hit a pothole. Also on sundden drops in the road it seems like i got down smooth then up fast and to the left or right Can anyone help?!?

That's not inner tie rod clunk shown in the video (in/out). It is an up/down clunk. My previous truck ('05 F-150) had that and was fixed with a new rack...
