Lower stall converter
I am in the market for a new transmission. I have a 95 E350 with a 460 and an E4OD. I tow a large trailer and boat with the Van and in talking with one shop, they suggested a lower stall speed converter ( about 400 rpm lower than stock) to reduce temperature and wear. I understand stall speeds and such, but I do not know whether going to a lower speed will allow the motor to reach full torque and HP and whether I will have any other advers effects. Anyone have any thoughts?
