I have a 99 Expediton and the head deack(one in dash) the display lights come on and go off now I am talking about the place where the time , track nubmer or radio station playing is
My question is this somthing that can be fixxed and where do I go to do so

Do they actually go on and off, or just go dim? I'm asking because the display is designed to dim to the setting of the dash lights setting when the headlights come on. If you have set the headlights to come on automatically, the light sensor will sometimes cause the headlights to come on and off rapidly if you are driving through sun/shade areas in early morning or late evening.

I'm having the same problem with my 98 Explorer CD. The display goes completly out for days sometimes, then comes back. This is a common problem with the in dash CD play/changer head. But I don't know what the solution is. I did read that if it's not taken care of, the circuit board can fry.
