GPCM LED MOD on the dash question

I have this on my 2002 7.3, where the LED lights up when the GPR is on and the LED goes out when the GPR shuts off. I need to know which wire to tap on my wife's 2004 EX 6.0. It has two plugs going to the GPCM, I need to know which wire on which plug. Thanks.

No one has done this MOD, I'm suprised? It's only $2 for the LED. I've had it on my 7.3 truck for years, if you wait until the light goes out you have an extra 1-1.5 VDC to crank the truck. Plus its an easy way to make sure your GPCM is working correctly.

I'm just guessing here, but will I have to tap all 8 leads going to the glow plugs. If so does any one have a pin-out to both plugs on the GPCM?

Relying on the 120 second glow plug cycle... so just sit and watch a clock.

You don't need to tap all 8, just 1 will do. They are easy to trace from the GPCM to the plugs themselves, and then you just pick one. I watch my voltmeter and can see when the GP's turn off, which is a minute or so after I've started the truck.

Same here...just watch my Mod Volts PID on my Insight gauge...I start up after the GPMC instrument cluster coil lamp goes out, but I don't turn on headlamps, AC, radio...etc...until I see my Volts somewhere in the mid 13v range.

14 gauge, blue wire with white stripe on the black connector (closest to the firewall) going to the GPCM. For those that might be interested in this.
