Thermometers
This is maddening. I'd like to find a couple of reliable thermometers
- One for people
- One for cats/dogs/etc
Used to be so simple before they decided that mercury would end civilization as we know it.
We've tried a few ear models ( there are animal versions), but they are always flaky.
Last time we tried an oral model ( digital), it was also flaky.
Anybody have any suggestions? I'd like some help because recent ones have started out OK -- but then crapped out when we actually needed them.

For animals, I'd go to a vet and see what they use and/or sell... Ranch stores sell them and I think you can still find mercury thermometers if you dig far enough...
Dunno about the people type - The alcohol ones are out there - I think places like Walgreens have them... It's been a while since I shopped for one...
I never did trust the reliability of digital thermometers...
