Yup its just a wing on the tailgate and it's not made anymore and I searched for two years till I found one. I wanted the one that goes on top of the cab that I believe centurion made but I haven't found one that someone is willing to sell.

None of those I had a visor and took it off for the light bars. What I'm talking about looks similar to the piece I put on my tailgate but it attaches to the top of the cab.
I think I'm going to stick with 17s on mine. We occasionally take it on the beach, and that extra sidewall height really helps when airing the tires down. I think the 20s will look badass though!
Mine probably won't happen until after you do yours. Right now I'm trying to find something to make my dedicated tow pig and farm truck. I'm thinking a 7.3 obs f450 or a super duty 7.3 f450
Swear it looks like a bed cover from this angle. Go figure I couldnt find one like it on google search.
My luck I wont be able to find the wing either.
I just purchased what says is the last one from autoplicity. $36 plus $8 shipping. I've heard they aren't legit but the payment is through Amazon and on my Mastercard so its double protection if they don't deliver.

Darn. Was hoping I could con my girl into getting it for me for V-Day. Oh well!
78/79 D44 is straight axle. While the IFS isn't necessarily bad, lifting it and putting larger heavier tires on will make the shortcomings of the IFS blatantly apparent.
Speaking of StuperDoody axles, I just finished blasting and painting mine over the weekend!
Bob, please tell me that we will get to see pictures of a work in progress. I'm wanting to do the same deal to my rig at some point.

Absolutely! I have a build thread on here somewhere for the truck itself. Not sure if I'll add the axle swap to that, or do a separate thread. But it'll be documented.
This swap has been done on quite a few F250s, F350s, and Broncos. For the most part it's pretty straightforward and simple. The only thing I can't seem to find is actual measurements of where the new coil buckets will mount, and where the radius arm brackets will mount. Lots of photos, though, so it should be easy enough to figure out.
I think the biggest challenge will be the rear driveshaft. My Centurion has a two piece rear shaft, and I don't think it'll be needed (nor do I think it's needed now) with the SD swap. I'd really like to find a stock driveshaft out of something that will work, so I don't end up with a custom driveshaft.

I think they're lying but at least you can get your money back if you don't get it.

That's why I paid through Amazon. we'll see if it happens. If not, I'm not worried about it. I figured it was a cheap enough gamble to take for the price. I would think if you could find one brand new somewhere else it would cost a lot more
