I'm the Georgia chapter leader on one of the 'other' sites... It is the same way over there.

When is someone going to setup a GA Members map like the other chapters?

Could help seeing where the membership base is located and help with planning GTG's

Blue was on a couple of days ago.

If I could make a suggestion here, maybe what the chapter needs is a little more participation from everyone...what I mean is maybe post a few threads to start some conversation and get more folks involved, make some suggestions for a get-together, things like that.

The chapter's only going to be as active as it's members...one guy can't carry the whole thing himself

I could commit to a truck meet once a month or so but we'd need to figure out what would be best for everyone. Maybe everyone could post where the live and we can decide where to have a meet, if there's enough interest. Copy/edit yourself in to create a list of people that would be interested to a meet. I would even commit to driving to August for a cookout at PastorPaul's if enough people will join me.

I agree! The offer to host a cookout still stands.

Guys and gals, keep in mind if more than ONE shows up, its a meet. Post pictures of the meet, so the next time MORE people will want to come. Trust me it works.

PastorPaul start a new thread for your bbq, and add a list for members to add their name. You set the time, date, location and other details. Travis already posted he will come, so there you go more than ONE. Make it a family event. The one thing you must do is give enough advance notice, 30 days or more, so members can adjust their schedules so they can attend.

Don't rule out car/truck shows which benefit a charity. Great place to have a meet and little or no preparation required. Again take and post lots of pictures.

I am still fairly active. Not as active as I would like to be due to personal financial and time constraints. I do not post nearly as much as I read. I try to check in here about every other day or so usually. I did miss over a week recently and got backed up on join requests for the first time ever in several in years. I can't carry the whole chapter as much as I would like to. We all have to pitch in. I welcome and encourage a chapter leader election at any time. Make your nominations and vote. I tried to get an election going long ago for my replacement and no one was interested. I would not run again due to being basically burnt out on it due to external problems not even related to the site. If no one else takes the position I will stick with it. Hopefully when I get a job and get my personal life on track I can be as gung ho about it as I once was. My interest is also unfortunately proportionate to everyone else interest at this point. I need some help and feedback here. What do you all suggest to get some participation up in this chapter? What can you all do for your chapter?

i know the feeling 70blue, i didnt meant anything bad, i just noticed that i didnt see any of your post...and now i understand, i was caught in that situation over the summer. truthfuly i think the problem lies in the lact of people in our chapter (active ones that is) and im only 16 so driving to Augusta is a no go for me this time.. if we could hold a meet not to far outside of valdosta i would be there in a heart beat!

No big deal. It was a viable question because although I am on I do not post. I have actually thought for a long time some fresh blood with new ideas in my seat might be a positive thing.

I'm new and I play on being pretty active. Once I get a truck (looking at a 89 F150 just trying to save money to get it) I would go to get together. I dont think yall would want me showing up in my Volvo 240 lol it would definitely be out of place lol.

No more out of place than me on my midnight venture motorcycle. My f-350 is down for a busted flex plate and do not have the money to fix it.
