I have recently replaced O-rings on the HPOP. Even did the non-removable plug upgrade. Followed instructions to the letter. Now I have a constant check engine light. The code is P1211, high or low fuel pressure. It doesn't run rough or bad at all. Just has the light on all the time. I even replaced the IPR O-ring as well. I checked the ICP to see if there was any air underneath it. And oil ran out when I removed it. So no issues there. Could it be possible that there might be a little bit of dirt on the IPR and goofing it up and causing the light to come on? Or is the ICP bad. Just looking for any clues. Thanks.

Do you have a chip or tuner? How would you describe your driving style? Aggressive or like a grandpa? If you get on the highway and set your cruise control at 55 for about 20 miles, does the light go out?
Tripping a P1211 code with a chip is fairly common if you drive it aggressively.
It is completely stock. No I don't drive like a grandpa. LOL. I cruise at around 70 to 75 on the highway. I do get after it when I have to. And just to get after. Light has never gone out just cruising around.
Usually we see the P1211 set under hard acceleration on a chipped truck. If yours is stock, then there's something not right. What are you using to pull the codes?
DTC P1209 and P1211 indicates that injection control pressure was above or below desired level under normal driving conditions.
Possible causes:
incorrect oil or viscosity
poor oil quality
gel fuel/no fuel
low fuel pressure
damaged IPR valve
high-pressure oil system leak
damaged high-pressure oil pump
damaged PCM
Also be sure and scroll further down the main forum listing and check out our 99 - 03 7.3 diesel section. Lot's more information about this motor down there.
Sorry, but I need to change direction on your here for just a bit. Not very many code readers will actually read the codes on a 7.3 Powerstroke, so please share with us the exact name, make and model of the one you purchased. The one I have cost around $400. If you have found a more affordable one, I'm sure many others would be interested.
Now, can your code reader monitor any live data like IPR duty %? A damaged IPR could easily throw this code, but often times you'll also notice some issue with how the engine is running.
Just to play it safe with your code reader, if you unplug the ICP sensor, do you get a P1280 code?
Well I found that out about the code readers after I had purchased the one I did. I am going to sell it on Ebay and get one from one of the diesel sites online. I will try unplugging the ICP sensor and see if it will throw that code. Thanks so much for your help.
