calling all super camper specials

That is awesome.....a parade truck to boot! I love it! That truck of yours is awesome and special, given the family history. I am aware of the textured top but have never actually seen one. I would have to guess that you might have the only SCS in existence that still has the original textured roof from Ford. Don't ever sell that truck!!

Do you have a pic of your camping rig that you can post? I kind of collect/restore vintage campers from the 70's and love seeing these dents with campers on them. I am going to post a pic of my SCS with my 11' slide in camper, once spring arrives and I can bring it home. I agree with you....winter sucks!

I have a question for you guys. Dident all scs come with the wide tires on the back? Mine did i have the factory set for mine. At one time i had 235/85/16 all the way around and i dident like it the rear looked like it was way narrow compared to the front. Now it has 33/12.50/16.5 rear and 245/75/16 front and it looks sweet

I dig'em too. For several years we camped in a 75 F250 with a 73 Dreamer 11' camper, enjoyed it a lot. Here's a pic of the rig and a link to more pics...

I would love to get my hands on a ((I believe it's brand name is a STARCRAFT)) that was Ford's go to company and the reason they started the 140" wheelbase in the first place.
If I'm not mistaken Ford contracted that company to make special "CAMPERS" for the SCS and the reason Ford did the 140" on the SCS was because the slide-ins were becoming heavier at the time and Ford needed to displace the weight evenly, thus moving the spare tire location to the passenger side truck bed with the removable side panel
