Try Jeff's Bronco Graveyard. I know there's a link on this website. Don't be misled about the "Bronco" part....they have alot of stuff for dentsides too. I will be in the market for some chrome rocker moulding myself.

Hey guys great post, I just saw it. I have a 74 SCS Ranger XLT with VIN# F35JKT22358 if someone wants to decode that for me. Bought my truck about a year ago for $800 cause it was running badly, got it home and found the moron had two plug wires backwards. The interior is in great shape, no rips or tears in the carpet, seat, or dash. The Exterior only has a few small rust spots and not very many dents, but the paint is oxidized badly. I will get some pictures up for you all in the next couple days. A few months ago some joker backed into my door so I had to get it replaced and now the paint is a mismatch. It has the 460 and I put an Edelbrock performer intake and a Holley 850cfm double pumper on it and this baby screams (Got them for free off of a 460 from a racing boat my brother had). As for gas mileage, I get about 4mpg right now but I did get about 8 with the carb that was on it. I had a question about the two batteries under the hood, as in what is the unique purpose of each? Also does anyone have a wiring diagram or schematic for this truck? Also anyone else with the 460, what is your timing at? I think mine is about -10 of TDC right now based on what I read in some other posts. There are some great looking trucks on here, keeps the photos coming.

Those 2 batteries are part of the SCS package. One for the camper and one for the truck. As for sway bars....I would think it should have them. Both my F-350's have sway bars, but the 79 is not an SCS, and it only has one battery. As for timing....look on the D. S valve cover for the sticker that gives you the basic tune-up info, like spark plug gap, engine family, timing and idle speed.

green_lightening's VIN is:
F35JKT22358.
F35= F-350 Two Wheel Drive.
J= 460ci V-8 with a 4-Barrel Carb.
K - Kansas City, MO Assembly Plant.
22358= Build Sequence Number.
Your Super Awesome '74 Super Cool Camper Special was built in November of '73. Makin' it a '74 model. Can't wait for pictures, I'll be waitin'
------------------------------------------
The Extra Battery's was part of the Camper Special Packages, not just specific to F-350 Camper Specials/ Super Camper Specials.
79 f350ts, Your truck may or may not have had them.
Sway Bars were on all Super Camper Specials, to my knowledge.
Trailer Specials got a 7-pin plug thingy for the trailers, Super Camper Specials got a plug into thingy for the campers, located along the side of the bed-rails on the inside, on the driver-side.
My truck HAD the dual batteries, But, I don't drive it, much less haul a camper, so it's unnecessary, so some previous owner mounted a Ammo Box there...Awesome Innovation!
The Ranger-XLT Trim Package was the top of the Line from '68-'77. In '78-'79 They came out with the Ranger Lariat Trim Package, Which, I don't care for because ye no longer got the '73-'76 Ranger or Ranger-XLT Chrome Trim Along the side of the bed.
Oh, And, I, even have a-lot of Brochures to back me up!

Looking for a consensus of opinion. I have a '76 F-350 SCS. Basicaly a stock 460 with the early timing gears and RV cam. I tow a heavy travel trailer. What works best, a Holley 750 or Edelbrock 750.

so sway bars standard on scs, but optional on trailer specials, right? thanx 76SCS. btw lil'abner, just my two cents but i prefer edelbrock. easier to tune and no fuel leaks or blown power valves . holleys are good too just prefer the brocks

Ok well I managed to get one picture put up in my album but everytime I tried uploading others it was failing, I don't know why. The picture I put up is after some washing and waxing. Also I recorded a video and put on youtube: YouTube - 1974 Ford F350 SCS

Check out the video and let me know what you all think.

I drooled when I saw green_lightening's Picture, send me the other files. I'll post 'em for ye.
saxzootsimsataol.com
Here's The Picture:

I had a Holley, But my dad rebuilt it, and it still leaks from the float bowels...
So, the truck isn't runnin' at the moment, we got an Edlebrock, we're eventually gonna rebuild the Edlebrock and get the truck runnin' (That's pretty much all it need's) But, I need to get my permit to drive, I'm two months, almost 3, behind.

Headers Question

I have the 79 f350 camper special with a 460 and have whats turned in to a horrible exhaust leak. Are There headers that will fit with the big sway bar up front or what would you suggest?
