9" gears?

For those that have done the ZF5 swap what rear end gear ratio are you running? I just got mine on the road after swapping my 400M/C6 to a 351W/ZF in my 73 F100 2wd. I think I have 2:73 ratio but I'm not positive and it feels too tall like its lugging the motor too much during city driving.

You would likely have a 2.75, next step up is a 3.0.

With overdrive you could easily do 3.50 to 4.56 rear gears, maybe more if you have some tall tires (33"+)

Thanks, like I said the 2.73 was a wild guess I have no tag on the housing anymore and have never been inside it to count teeth. I am running a short tire 275/60/15.

you can do a spin the tire and count the rotations of the driveshaft to figure out your current ratio.
