Question 2011 and a half

Will Ford still have its normal shutdown/retooling cycle this year for the Super Duty, or will they keep going until next winter or summer '11? Will they make a 2011.5? Should I order now?? Should I wait for +400HP and 800 lb./ft. torque? Should I pick silver or white??? So many questions???

Well I think even the new trucks will have the HP / TQ numbers it just requires a reflash of the computer. Dont know about the retooling cycle, but I've always loved a white SD.

I have had a few fords. one 97' crew cab white, a 03' crew cab charcoal grey, and currently an 05 that is black.
My favorite by far was the 97. it wasnt a hot rod but was easy to keep clean.
The black truck is very nice all cleaned up but a real pain to keep up.
Im probably going to get a new one in the next few months. Im going back to white and adobe on the bottom.

I bet there are more versions than just a 2011.5 I bet they get to Job #3, I think they did with the '08's if I remember right. I doubt they would have re-tooling, but rather late availability items or minor changes.. A few people have posted that if the HP changes it may be a flash to change the truck, so no need to wait. I still wonder about them upping the ante with GM, the current released numbers are the ones in the brochure, so is it just the rumor mill???

I just wonder if they'll use the hp/torque increase to bump up the cost of the engine option? You don't really pay for the engine hardware, you pay for the power it makes.

Can't answer for any of your questions, but I'll just mention that white and silver are both easy colors to live with. They don't show much dirt, neither soaks up much heat in the sun, and both hide scratches in the paint really well.

I chose sterling grey metallic.
It looked great on an F-150 so I assumed when I ordered it would be the same or similar coat of paint on the F-250.
I looked at colors in person at the dealer so that's something I recommend to see what YOU want.

I'm gonna get the silver, like my '09. Were you able to get your dealer below MSRP? I have checked with 4 dealerships and they will not budge. I'm ready to order if I can get a dealer to throw me a bone. Take $1000 off or just $500, I just don't want to pay full MSPR.

No, it doesn't appear dealers will budge on pricing for orders.
I'm sure that won't happen until they start having extra's at the dealer's.

If you get the XLT, you'll get a discount of some sort (retailed @ $1,000).
Mine was discounted $830.00 dealer invoice.
