I was working in a mouding mill, working on a 6000 gal glue tank, on a latter, latter fell. I went down @16 feet, breaking both arms, back, and face. That was in 1990, and 18 surgeries later.

OK, I have a techinical question for you all.

My right rear brake light keeps burnig out. three time now.

the right side turn sign will blink once and no more.

could this be the turn signal switch or the light switch or what?

Sounds like a bad ground Walt. Check the ground wire back by the tail light, and the ground wire from the cab to the frame or engine ( in the engine bay...). In the older rigs we run the grounds corrode and rust over time.....

Its a short to ground in the wiring, check for frayed or pinched wires grounding out.

Did you collect a healthy award, or did the employer conclude (as they always do) that it was the employees fault?

OK, I'll start at the taillight and work my way forward.. Don't know why I would have a short, wiring is only 48 year old.

I wonder if I should just buy 20' of new trailer flat 4 wire and rewire from the taillight to the front this weekend and be done with it.

Wow....Three different answers in 5 min.....

At least TWO of us could be right.........Sorry Dave, shorted out wire would not cause the bulb to burn out because it wouldn't be getting any power TO burn out.........

I did get some "award" not real healthy. But I do not work in a mouding mill anymore. They did beat me out of paying for my retrainning.

How sloppy does the turn signal feel? Both my 66 and the 76 did close to the samething. The turn signal was very sloppy and shorting out in the column.

Wow Allen, that doesn't sound like fun. Are you going to have any mobility in the wrist?

I have had dead shorts that lit bulbs momentarily before burning out the bulb or blowing the fuse...........but to be sure, they did not last very long!
Probably time to head to NAPA for a new switch.

Sure sounds like a bad ground to me, take them all off and clean up the connector and clean the metal were it connects. I have had to do this numerous times over the years on my old 75.

Don don't forget the pics!
