Anybody see the john woods trans write up in this months mag.
It shows all the stuff he does. When I got mine done I had him put in th dp tuner at the same time. Man what a new truck now. Driving your truck after all that makes it feel like a new piece of machine. The 40, 60t and 60, 80e are alsome. I like 60e around town and 80e on the highway. Also drive thur and auto shut down mode where they can't start your truck is alsome. Next it is injectors, new tunes and turbo upgrade. 400hp all the time would be nice.
Got mine today and looked at the trans article. Interesting read. I'll have my trans apart this weekend. I won't have some of John Wood's "one off" parts in mine, but there will be a few more upgraded parts this time around.
You need to share some detailed information with us!

Pop, I will. I plan on taking some pics this time around. I had a feed bolt for the forward clutches loosen up and cause a pressure drop there. Started out slipping and then, "Nuthin". I removed the valve bodies and separator plate to verify this. Pan is clean with no pieces. Good thing. I will be tearing it down to refesh the clutches, check everything out, and do a few more upgrades that I learned of after my first rebuild was completed. Hopefully, my info will help others in their decisions in doing their own trans and save some "heartache". I will post a new thread when the project gets underway.
