99' expedition Keypad
When you got the truck, did you get 2 keypads? If so, try using the other keypad. If it works, then the problem is not with the receiver, but the keypad.
Now, if the other keypad works, next easiest thing to look at is the batteries. Take the battery out of the one that works and put it in the one that does not work. Does the keypad work now? Does the problem start on the other keypad? If so, battery issue.
Now, if the batteries have nothing to do with the problem, then it may be possible that you have worn out the button (as you stated). You can get replacement keypads off ebay for pretty cheap.
