Last week, I started the truck and had 1 injector not firing. Long story short, after consulting the OBS PSD forum, I got some ideas as to what could be wrong and found the problem this morning. A loose screw inside the injector. Tightened it up and we're all good now. I called the dealership in Brandon just in case, and they wanted $595 for 1 new injector!!!!! I nearly choked. I love this website.
Good stuff, glad you found a cheap fix. I`d be real choked to spend $595 needlessly, just over a silly loose screw, that would would be a bummer!
Looks like now I need to bleed the fuel system on my 86 LN8000/3208 Cat, when I went to start it last week it fired afew times and quit firing. I think that there`s abit of air in the fuel system somewhere. That is very strange, it`s never done this before after a winter`s 5 month slumber.....
Hope that's an easy fix too. I wouldn't have paid that much anyway. I can get them online for $127. Either way, it's not cheap! This afternoon, I got some shimming done on my front seats (They weren't quite level), and put the guard/skid plate on for the transfer case. Including the stuff under the hood, my rig should be feeling well loved today!!
No 'big' plans. I still have to put the intercooler in and bushwacker flares on. Othr things would be next front shocks and some nice brake hoses. I guess the IC is kind of a big project!!
