I punctured an original Revo, which was deemed un-repairable by the dealer. They informed me the exact type I have is no longer produced, and they offered to replace my tire with the new Revo 2. If any of you out there do any medium off roading with the original Revo, you know the original is a pretty good tire all around. It lacks just a tiny bit of traction when things get heavy, but as long as I air down, i havent been stopped yet.
Now even with the naked eye, its obvious that Bridgestone did not have us "wheelers" in mind when making the Revo 2. The new Revo is more street friendly and definitely will lack off road grip... Oh well, it is what it is, but Im not a happy camper...If I would have looked into my crystal ball and known this, I might have stayed with the BFG All Terrain
Don't let their look deceive you. They are the best all around tire I have owned. Great in the rain and surprising in the dirt. They clean them selves really well.
I'd stick with the revos man even if you have to get the revo2. What a great tire.
Im pretty in tune when it comes to tires. As murphy's law would have it, we are now off road more these days with racing, and wheeling and just plain having fun. I absolutely loved the original Revo, but Im afraid the new version will not have as much grip off road. I can tell the new version has a much better side lug, but a smaller center section compared to the original unit. It would be cool if they could merger the original center section with the new outer lug pattern. Now that would be the best tire out there for sure...
I just got a set of revo 2's for my truck. Theyre not too much different from the originals. The tread is very similar and ive gone off roading a few times with them with no problems at all.

Are you looking at the Revo ATs versus the Revo AT 2?
Tire rack still lists the Revo AT.
If they are phasing them out give the Yokahama Geolander AT/s a try.
I put them on my wife's truck because I didn't want to spend the money on the Revos when the truck isn't driven that much. Them remind me of the Revos and they are a lot less $. Im happy with them. On the few dirt trails I have been on with the truck, it seemed to do well..
