Function of this temp controlled vacuum switch?

I was hoping somebody could tell me the function of this temperature controlled vacuum switch. It has had nothing connected to it since I bought the truck.

'74 F-100, 302 M/T

Guess it might help if I post the picture.

Best I can tell it is used to control EGR function, and since the EGR ports on my intake are completely clogged and the EGR valve is not connected, I'm guessing it's not needed.

Can anybody confirm this? My source was some hand drawn sketch on Google.

Yeah one goes to the EGR, the other one connects to the carb.
