Door gaskets

I did not want to put the door gaskets from LMC on my truck. I looked around and finally found these peel and stick gaskets. I used the front part from LMC and used the peel and stick around the rest of the door. They seem to be working very good. Doors were not that hard to shut and are already getting better.

I also used a peel and stick gasket for the door bottom. These are very soft and hollow. They came from Steele Rubber in NC. I went to the place and picked them up.

Why did you not want to use the LMC ones? Did you make the door step/carpet holder?.........Thanks.

Everybody I ask about door gaskets said the original type gaskets were a holy terror to ever get to work right. One of the men at the last car show I attended said he actually pulled his back off because he had to slam his door so hard. He had a good looking truck and said he paid someone to do the complete work over. I made the carpet holders and bottom strip out of a flat piece of aluminum and a angle piece. I sanded them down to remove the shine and clear coated them. Used two sided tape to attach the bottom piece.
