Hi guys - my '62 F100 floor shift now has a new turn signal switch, but missing the cancel cam, which seems to have gone the way of the dinosaur. It was suggested to me a few months ago to maybe swap out the whole steering collar with a newer unit. Any suggestions would be cool - thanks

btw: A (shift) collar is what the shift lever fits into.

Are you saying that it was hit by a giant meteor hurtling to earth thereby effectively causing a global climate change thus rendering your cancel cam extinct?
Unfortunately I can't open your pictures Charlie - that would be most helpful. I've been digging around some Falcon parts suppliers, and found one of them has a repo cancel cam that would replace mine (the threads are all stipped out for the handle to screw into.) Although a good find, it's not the part I thought I was looking for; there's still supposed to be another thing in there that actually kicks the switch off after making a turn. Don't mean to sound ignorant, but what the heck am I looking for?!?!?
The pictures should display themselves. Are you someplace where they restrict certain things?
There is a gap at the top of the column tube which locates the collar. If this gap is at about 9:00, many newer collars, and the associated switches should work. If that gap is at about 7:30, the newer stuff will not mount directly to it.
The piece that turns the switch off is a part of the steering wheel on mine.
