Engine will be in today, front clip back on! Just waiting for the offy manifold and new holley to arrive so I can finish this one and on to the next.........
Slight hickup...........When Jeff brought me the engine there was no bracket for the alt, and the PS pump...........Guess I'd better PM him if I want to finish this project.............
No problem Jeff! After washing off the frame I am not happy with the way the paint looked, so will be getting another quart of frame black from NAPA today. I painted the frame 7 years ago when I installed the 460 and it just doesn't look right with the new 300 all pretty.................
Well we got the new engine into the green 76 4x4 over the weekend, my son and I had to fab new engine and frame mounts for it. Engine turned out to be a 69 429ci, but after the build, it is a 460. Up and running great.
Parts located, will pull today. Do you need the pump? If so ,will send it along also. Will P.M. tonight. Jeff
Just the brackets Jeff. The PS pump is still hooked up to the steering box.

Good for you! Sure is nice to see a project done!
The Offy manifold came today! Many thanks to JagRed54! The manifold is in beautiful shape, and will work just great.
Oh crap..........Now I find out the V8 power steering pumps I have won't fit! Help Jeff! Guess I should have had ya send the 6 cyl pump with the brackets..........
Morning all. Don, I wish we were all sitting at the table drinking coffee together. We could all laugh at this. I have had more projects go this way than I want to count. My daughter is coming over Tues. & Wed. I will send a pump over with her. Same procedure as with the brackets. I wish I could deliver things my self and lend a hand, maybe next time.
PS. I didn't realize the pumps were different or I would have told you and sent the pump.
I need a laugh right about now...........I installed the engine and trans Sat, but found out the header won't go in after the engine, and I ran out of header wrap so I can't put the header in till I get more wrap (Tue).
NAPA sent the wrong new starter, so that has to be reordered......
Fought fires Fri and Sat................
Harvest starts any day now............
I have no where to move too, and no time to do it.......
