I'm in the same situation as you are, I want the biggest tire I can fit safely. I've looked at 285's (32.83") and 295's (33.42"). I've heard people say that you'll be fine with 285's and that 295's will wear unevenly but not too badly. I'm really leaning towards the 295's. There aren't many options in that size and even though the are mostly D rated the load ratings are comparable to the E rated 285's.
