The F1 I'm building will run some wider wheels on the rear (15" diameter), and the ones I currently have are some from a Jeep which have no hub cap mounting bumps. The original hub caps for the truck mounted on some bumps that pointed to the center from the ridge around the lug nut area.
I know that some hubcaps on older rigs were held on by clips. Are there any from the Fords of the 30's to the 50's that were like that? If so .... can the clips be found and then added to the wheels I have??
I'd really like to avoid having to spend another near $300 for rear wheels that will not be significantly different from what I currently have ... other than having the hub cap provisions.
Thanks in advance for any advise here.

I wish I had an answer for you. This is a question that has plagued me for years. Why nobody has seen fit to manufacture some simple 48-56 styled hubcaps with the block Ford logo on them that will fit Chevy, Chrysler or even later model Ford wheels I can't imagine. I think they would be a great seller. I've fiddled around with trying to fit 48-56 Ford hubcaps to various wheels but with no success. Buying new wheels seems to be the only avenue. Until I can afford some I'm running 57 Cadillac hubcaps...
