My new to me 2005 F250 6.0L Lariet, cc, short box, 2x4 needs new shoes.
I have always bought Michelin LTX M/S's load E. This truck has Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor, load E. I like the width of the Goodyears but don't drive offroad unless it's in the grass field in the pit area. Don't know alot about the Goodyears...any thoughts would be greatful. Really liked the ride the Michelin's gave me on my 2003 F250, 7.3L.
Go to tire rack and look at their tire selections, they have great spec sheets on all their tires listing load ratings, revolutions per mile, actual test track data on many tire sizes and brands. I chose the General HTS Grabber in 18" load range E. Look at tire racks test and review. They are an allseason tire but they have done very well even in light snow, great in rain and dry, good road manners and are quiet and look good. Priced right to. Rated # 1 on tire rack all season category and consumer reports.com. I tow a 13K fifth wheel and am very pleased (no tire squirm or sway).
Just bought a set of Kumho Road Venture AT,s for my F250 lariat short bed. These are all season radials not off the road. They were a great price, had numerous good write ups and availability. First thing I noticed was great wet road traction. Used to be only a mild push on the pedal and the rears would break loose now requires max power. Really smooth ride and no howling at highway speeds. Size 265x75x16. Less than $600 for all four mounted and balanced.
