351M REBUILD
Couple of questions, just doing a few simple bolt on upgrades for the first time. I pulled off the old 2V intake manifold, carb and valley pan from the 351M:
- when replacing the new valley pan, do I put an RTV type sealant under the pan where it lays against the intake ports on the heads? What about on top (ie both sides?)
- Laying the new intake (Weiand) down into the valley, on top of the new valley pan, I have (new) intake manifold gaskets-do I put RTV on both sides of the intake manifold gaskets, or do they go on dry?
- when torqueing down the intake manifold, how many foot pounds of torque to apply?
