valley pan gasket and/or intake gasket
i just took a 351m apart and don't remember if it had a valley pan gasket or not and if it also had a intake manifold gasket.
i was about to order gaskets when i saw both are available for the 351m.
so, do i need a valley pan gasket and a intake manifold gasket or just the valley pan gasket.
thanks for your help.

A lot of people use the composition intake gaskets and cut down their old metal valley pan gasket to fit in place. The metal valley pan helps keep heat from transferring into the intake manifold. You have to pay big bucks for some brands of engines to get this "feature"... I have heard of some people drilling a hole in the valley pan to drain out any oil that finds its way in.
