I hate Chilton's manuals!!

yet again the damn book has let me down. i need to find something different, but for now im asking all of you once again.
im trying to re-adjust the passenger side fender because it was backed into a while ago and never completely fixed. my question is how. ive loosened all the obvious bolts but the most i can get is a bit of movement by the door. i just cant figure it out.

when i wrecked my truck, the drivers side fender got pushed back to where the door wouldnt open. Had to loosen 4 bolts i think, and then put a prybar btwn the door and the fender and pushed it forward.

if i remember right, theirs 2 towards the back and 2 towards the front. You have a different body style, so its probly different.

There should be 2 bolts by the hood hinge, one bolt at the back that you can only reach by opening the door and using some extensions, 1 bolt under the bottom of the fender, and 2 more bolts where it attaches to the core support.

For what chiltonpro.com costs I would hope they would hop out of the screen and come turn some wrenches for me!

You will get better answers here, it just takes a little while longer.

And the truck info in the post always helps.

The plastic inner fender could be holding it in place still. When I was aligning fenders, I did it before attaching the inner fender.

+1 on the inner fender - the steel outer one won't move much with the plastic inner still attached to it. Also, did you pull the headlight? Its outboard studs go through both the fender and the core support so it will need removed, and IIRC there are also two other small sheetmetal screws that you can see and access once the headlight assembly is removed.

I was wondering about that too, but the year of the truck hasn't been mentioned so I'm not sure which front end he has.
