Does your phone's bluetooth function try to recognize it?
I know my cell will recognize my gps, then I have to press a button on the gps to sync the two.

No, the phone doesn't see it. I can't seem to get the thing into discovery mode, but if I push enough buttons, it will talk to you through the car speakers so I know it's hooked up.

Hmmmm, have you tried a combination of buttons?
Does it run off the truck's electrical or does it have a battery compartment?
If battery, maybe the manufacturer's name is in there.

That would be an understatement. I've tried every combination of buttons for different length times I can think of.

Stupid kids. 
After trying everything and finally getting to a menu system, I was at a dead end. Couldn't figure out how to select the option I wanted. No idea which buttons to push to select the right option. My daughter decides to talk to the car, and the stupid thing answered.
Turns out you have to speak your selection, so once we got past that, we got the phone paired. The pairing gave us the name Mobile_Ease. Turns out it's a Ford piece. Lots of internet searching and I found a manual.
For the benefit of future searches, the manual is attached.
