C-6 Differences

C-6 Differences

Are there any differences between the 4wd C-6 transmission and the 2wd version. I new to this and have no idea as I search for parts...

The output shaft and the tail cone. The trans has to be dissasembled to go from one to the other.

how hard is it to rebuild the c6 ? i would say im a above average mechanic rebuilt a few engines just not a auto trans

Never had a C6 apart other than dropping the valve body to swap shift rods. I understand there are some special tools that are needed on the C6 that you can get by without on gm or chrysler trannys, a press comes to mind. The most important part on trannys is cleanliness.
