i have a problem with my f150. the overdrive light flashes and wont shift and it blows the power point fuse 23 i replace the fuse and it runs fine the light for overdrive stops flashing and shifts fine.when i drive it for 5min it blows fuse again. any sugesstions?
Take the plastic stearing column part off the inside of the truck and locate the wires going to inside of the shifter leaver thats goes to the button, The way that it is routed it rubs the insulation off the wire at the shifter pivot point. Just rap some elect tape and problem solved.

No. F23 is unrelated to that issue which will blow F29, not F23.
F23 blowing is usually due to an O2 sensor harness laying on the exhaust or against a front half shaft (if 4X4).
Power feed from F23 also is used to operate the transmission's solenoids. When the fuse opens, the PCM detects a "CIRCUIT FAULT" for the tranny and flashes the O/D light (in addition to everything else that goes wrong...)
