EGR delete DONE with TONS of pics!!!

First things first, I need to thank my cousin Pete (VlietRacer64) for all his help with my truck this weekend.

Full First Coast Diesel EGR Delete
Oil Cooler Rebuild
VC9 flush
ICP Sensor
Updated wiring
bigger turbo drain
new screen

Pics:

went for a 20 minute ride with the VC9 and then drained the whole system before we started pulling...

great job with the pictures. I see I need to take a few to show how to do some of the stuff a little faster and easer. How long did it take you? did you find it hard to do or just time consuming?
just throwing the 2 questions out ot give people an idea of what to expect.

it wasnt a hard job, pretty simple stuff actually. I was VERY glad you guys helped me with the part numbers and all that so I was very prepared for the install.

It took around 14 hours including all the test drives and coolant draining... Not to bad for our 1st time if you ask me. Im very grateful for Petes help and Greenwoods garage. It wouldnt be an easy job to do outside...

he only thing i would have done differently would have been to deegrease and pressure wash the engine bay PRIOR to teardown to make thinks a little cleaner....

Thanks again everyone, I appreciate the help very much.

-My next job is going to be injector #4 (I think its still acting up a bit) THEN i can finally order my new tunes from Eric

I had 4 gallons left over BUT you need to drain the system and flush with VC9 and distilled water before the job starts and then when the job is complete until the water drains clear.

I actually had 4 gallons left over when we were complete (rather be safe than sorry)!!

the EGR Delete kit was from First coast Diesel in FL. it was $880 (once you return the stock intake they credit you $250) Im the end it's $630. (I strongly recommend this. Its more $ and more work BUT MUCH better in the end if your planning to keep the truck!!!

Best on the market IMHO!!!
