Finally got one!

Thanks to the info here I researched everything and decided that my wife and I needed an Excursion. We had to get a newer vehicle a little sooner than expected, and we got one last month! It's a 2004 Limited with the 6.0 and 84K miles. So far we're loving it! It is replacing my '94 Explorer that is being turned into a trailered toy, but I think the Excursion will end up being my wife's! She's cool. Maybe we'll sell her Firebird and I can get the other ride I really want.

Here it is:

The "fleet" minus my Mustang SVO (for sale):

I find the size of the Excursion somewhat amusing parked next to my Explorer. The Excursion is stock. My Explorer has a 2" suspension lift, 2" body lift, and 33" tires!

One thing I can't figure out about the Excursion, though, is this thing in the dash--the thing next to/below the cigarette lighter. Garbage bag hook? What is it? I'm thinking about mounting a CB in this general area and want to know what that is before I do!

Glad to have one of these beasts!

That's where I mounted the CB in my F250. Its a great location assuming you don't want to use the trash bag hook

You can't see it in my picture, but I have a Prodigy mounted in the same place as you.

If you have a CB in your truck, You might be a Redneck....

Ya know Toothpaste was invented by a Redneck.... Otherwise it would have been called Teethpaste

Kinda the same situation here. I bought my Excursion to tow my crawler and now it's my wife's daily driver. It's cool, she and the kids are safer that way.

I have the same color and make....welcome to FTE and enjoy the good people here.

And don't let people freak you out about the reliability of the 6.0, its a great motor.

I like the Jeep in your pictures, I use to have one like that and I sure miss it. Talk about a Work-Horse.
